Remember Me
Why was ICER formed?
We are at a critical juncture for health care delivery and financing in this country; unchecked technological advance simply cannot be supported at current system levels.   Despite this reality, the tools of comparative effectiveness and cost-effectiveness research have not been systematically employed to inform difficult decisions regarding coverage of new and/or emerging technologies.  ICER was designed to help fill this gap, by creating rigorous assessments of both the comparative effectiveness and comparative value of these technologies in an open, transparent manner.
