Through a unique collaboration with patients, clinicians, manufacturers, insurers and other healthcare stakeholders, ICER develops tools to support patient decisions and medical policy that share the goal of achieving maximum value for every healthcare dollar.

Dr. Pearson testified before the Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions (HELP) hearing on "Implementing Best Patient Care Practices" on Thursday, February 5, 2009. His testimony focused on the use of comparative effectiveness research to inform best practices and the mechanisms required to implement comparative effectiveness findings.
