Mission

ICER's mission is to lead innovation in comparative effectiveness research through methods that integrate considerations of clinical benefit and economic value.  Through a unique collaboration with patients, clinicians, manufacturers, insurers and other healthcare stakeholders, ICER develops tools to support patient decisions and medical policy that share the goal of achieving maximum value for every healthcare dollar.

Katy Marttila, BA
Program Manager


Katy received her B.A. from University of Massachusetts, Boston, and pursued an M.S. at the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University in Chicago, IL.  Her employment experience includes work as a consultant and administrative manager at a public policy firm, research assistant at a public relations firm, and as an arts reviewer and opinion editor at a small newspaper.  Katy also has experience in commercial and documentary production as a production and editorial assistant, including work on PBS’s American Experience series.

 

Katy is also the Office Manager for the Institute for Technology Assessment.
